I'm honored to be starting the 2024-25 school year as my third year as Oak School's principal! I bring over fifteen years of experience in education, with roles ranging from classroom teacher to reading specialist to instructional coach and assistant principal in School Districts Naperville 203 and Elmhurst 205. My background includes a strong focus on literacy, curriculum design, and supporting teachers in elevating student learning. I'm passionate about creating a learning environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
This year, our theme at Oak School revolves around the idea that it takes a team to build and achieve a dream. When we think about academic growth, student well-being, and overall success, it's clear that none of it would be possible without our entire Oak School community! We are a team of dedicated staff, talented students, and supportive families all working together.
At Oak School, I believe we can truly make a difference in our students' lives. I'm dedicated to working with our amazing team to achieve District 181's vision: to equip every student with the skills and confidence to change the world. I'm excited to be a part of the Oak School community and look forward to partnering with you.
Respectfully,
Effey Nassis
